The performing arts area encompasses dance, drama and music.

We offer an excellence program in performing arts.  This is our centre of artistic development (CAD) programs. Students can audition to be part of a CAD program in dance, drama, music and/or technical theatre.  More information is available on the excellence page.

In year 7 and 8, all students participate in dance, drama and music for two lessons per week for one term.

In years 9 - 12, students choose to participate in a performing arts subject.  The subjects on offer are:

  • Year 9 - dance, drama, music, practical music.
  • Year 10 - dance, drama, music, practical music, certificate II in music.
  • Year 11 - dance, drama, music, certificate IV in music, music in practice, drama in practice.
  • Year 12 - dance, drama, music, music extension, certificate IV in music, music in practice, drama in practice. ​

We also offer instrumental music.  Students have the opportunity to learn a woodwind, brass, percussion or string instrument as well as have vocal tuition.  Students participate in a 35 minute group lesson each week and are part of an ensemble, such as choir, concert band, string ensemble and stage band.​
