Trinity Bay State High School is pleased to announce that we have updated our Junior Secondary Assessment Policy. This policy now aligns more closely with our Senior Secondary Assessment Policy, and also aligns us with the release of the new Australian Curriculum (Version 9.0). The new policy can be found on our website via this link:

https://trinitybayshs.eq.edu.au/our-school/rules-and-policies

This policy will come into effect from Monday 4th March for students in Years 7, 8 and 9. Students will also be informed of this change during assemblies starting the week of February 26th.

The most significant change to this policy is the requirement for an AARA (Application for Access Arrangements and/or Reasonable Adjustments) for students who are absent for 4 or more consecutive days during an exam period (or during a time when an assignment is due). Parents and students are urged to read this section carefully in the policy document.

If a parent or student has any questions around the policy in general, please contact Deputy Principal, Mr Bruce Paris on 40375222 or via email <bpari2@eq.edu.au>. If you have any subject specific questions around extensions or exemptions, please contact your child’s teacher directly, or the faculty Head of Department.
