Trinity Bay State High School offers several pathways for students in senior secondary.  ​

All students are expected to achieve a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) (PDF, 1594 KB)​. Some students may be invited to complete a Queensland Certificate of Education Certificate of Individual Achievement (QCIA).

All students must adhere to the Senior Assessment Policy (PDF, 672 KB).

University pathway

Students must meet the ATAR eligibility (PDF, 404KB) requirements if they are planning tertiary studies.

The school will help students qualify for a QCE.

Workforce pathway​​

Students study 6 subjects, mainly Applied Subjects and may or may not include a Vocational Education and Training certificate (VET). Students qualify for a QCE.

Senior education and training plan

It is during the compulsory year 10 into 11 interview that students and their parents establish a Senior Education and​ Traini​ng plan (SET).​

Work experience

All year 10 students have the opportunity to participate in the work experience program during the last week of term 2.

All senior secondary students ar​e able to participate in a work experience program during the school holidays. Expressions of interest can be made to Mrs Hayley Murphy, VET Coordinator - hmurp70@eq.edu.au 

School-based apprenticeships and traineeships

Students in years 10, 11 and 12 are eligible to do a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (PDF, 490KB). For further details, please contact VET Coordinator, Mrs Hayley Murphy, VET Coordinator - hmurp70@eq.edu.au   

Alternate Pathways

The compulsory phase of schooling ends when a student turns 16 or finishes Year 10 – whichever occurs first.  Once students have entered the compulsory participation of school, they are eligible to leave school. Our Transition Pathways Officer (TPO) assists students to find future life pathways.  For further details, please contact TPO, Mrs Vicky Wilson – vwils44@eq.edu.au.


Religious instruction is not currently offered at this school.
