The school enjoys the support of a School Based Police Officer who is available to work with both students and staff. This officer is employed by the Queensland Police Service and is attached to our school. A memorandum of understanding between Education Queensland and the Queensalnd Police Service provides the guidelines for the work of this officer in our school.

Role of the School Based Police Officer

The role of the Police Officer is to work in conjunction with school staff to provide students with positive and proactive programs. Where possible the Police Officer participates in school activities (for example school camps, dances, sports days etc.) to build a constructive and reassuring relationship with students at the school.

Availability

The School Based Police Officer is available 2½ days a week.
