Trinity Bay is located in the centre of the beautiful city of Cairns in Queensland’s Far North. Surrounded by the magnificence of the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical Rainforests. Trinity Bay services a dynamic community that experiences good weather all year round.
A Tradition of Excellence
Established in 1960, Trinity bay has developed a tradition of excellence in teaching and learning that makes it one of the most respected public schools in Queensland. The school enjoys a positive reputation within the community of Cairns and provides an extensive curriculum for all its students.

Students
Trinity Bay State High School's International Program offers a rich, multifaceted learning opportunity for students from abroad. This year, students from Korea, Japan, Italy, Denmark, China, Brazil and Germany are enjoying full immersion into school life, as well as participation in a wide range of extra curricular activities. This provides the opportunity to learn and mature in a unique socio-cultural setting. The friendships forged assist in the study of new language and in long lasting contacts between participants and local students.
International students are included in all aspects of school life and meet regularly together as a cohesive group. Outings are arranged regularly, ESL support provided and a Teacher Mentor and Peer Support Program all contribute to the successful integration of international students into the school community.
At Trinity Bay all students are welcomed and supported. We are proud of our diverse multi-cultural population. Trinity Bay ethic promotes honesty, integrity, self worth and commitment. Good manners, respect for others and community service are recognised and encouraged at the school. We believe in a fair but disciplined learning environment. Parents appreciate the caring attitude of our staff and the tremendous array of extra-curriculum opportunities for students.
Academic Excellence/Opportunities
A Trinity Bay education will give your child the maximum opportunity to develop his/her strengths in the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve success. The school has a proven track record of academic success, with almost all of our Year 12 graduates who apply for tertiary study each year, receiving their first or second choice at university level entry.
